Arts and Culture Minister, Paul Mashatile, has welcomed the arrest of former National Youth Development Agency head Andile Lungisa and three other people.
Lungisa and his co-accused appeared in court on Friday for allegedly defrauding Mashatile's department of more than R2m rand for a failed music concert by US artist R-Kelly.
In a statement yesterday, Minister Mashatile said corruption, fraud or any illegality will not be tolerated.
He said he will be watching Lungisa's case with keen interest.
Lungisa and his co-accused were released on bail and will be back in court again at the end of the month.
