North West premier, Thandi Modise, has announced that 3 suspects have been arrested for 3 murders linked to violence at mines in Marikana.
The premier's office says a 25-year old man appeared in court on Tuesday in connection with the murder of two National Union of Mineworker, leaders.
He remains in custody pending court appearances in Rustenburg and Ga-Rankuwa.
In November, former NUM shop steward Percy Letanang was shot 7 times at his home outside Marikana, while a female NUM shop steward was murdered outside her home near the NUM's offices at the Western Platinum division.
Two men were also arrested for shooting a man at a tavern in Wonderkop earlier in December.
