Man mauled to death by pitbulls named Satan and Psycho

 Three pitbulls have mauled a man to death in Germiston, on the East Rand.

Beeld reports that Abie Masia, a 47-year-old security guard at the Laerskool Oosterkruin, was near the institution when the attack happened in
Weerd Road, Primrose, at the weekend.

Sergeant Frank Nkuna says the dogs escaped through a gap in the gate of the owner's home and attacked Masia.

An off-duty police officer shot and killed one of the dogs, Roxy.

The other two named Satan and Psycho were taken to the Germiston SPCA.

The owner was not home at the time and Nkuna said if it could be proven that he was negligent he would be charged with murder.
