One person has been shot dead at the up-market Tasha's restaurant at Rosebank in Johannesburg.

Medi Response spokesperson, Paul Herbst says the 42-year-old man who was seated inside was shot twice by two unknown men who entered the establishment.

He says the man, whose identity has not yet been released, was declared dead on the scene.
