The man accused of raping and murdering three-year-old Courtney Pieters is expected back in the Goodwood Magistrate’s Court on Thursday.
The 40-year-old man from Pluto Street in Elsies River worked at a call centre and made his first appearance in court on May 17.
According to the charge sheet, the man was arrested on May 15.
At the time, the court-ordered that he be held in the hospital section at the Goodwood Prison for security reasons, due to death threats that he had received in the awaiting-trial section of the prison.
Pieters was last seen on May 4 in front of her home in Elsies River. Her body was found in a shallow grave in Epping.
