A highly intoxicated man who appeared confused while walking on the R27 near the Koeberg Power Station, North of Cape Town, is expected to appear in court today.
Police spokesperson Captain Frederick van Wyk says that on Friday, City of Cape Town Law Enforcement stopped the man walking and, after being interviewed, called an ambulance.
He says SAPS from Melkbosstrand also arrived on the scene where they found a black suitcase and bucket in the man's possession.
Van Wyk said they found magic mushrooms and dagga in the bucket as well as prescription medication, Tik and cocaine in the suitcase.
He says the man told them he had run out of petrol and was taken back to his vehicle where he was arrested.
The 23-year-old man had 192 grams of cocaine, 1 458 grams of magic mushrooms, 88 grams of dagga, 336 Ecstacy tablets, 108 grams of Meth as well as prescription drugs such as Oxynorm, Tramadol, Serdep and Ketamine with an approximate value of R306 000.
More tablets found in his possession are yet to be identified.
He is expected to appear in the Atlantis Magistrates Court on Monday for possession of drugs.
