Man arrested with 121 unlicensed firearms on his farm

Police in Mbombela have arrested a 43-year-old man on a farm in the outskirts of the city for the possession of a plethora of unlicensed firearms and ammunition.

According to police, they received information about an assortment of guns being stored on a farm called Uitkyk.

Police discovered a big container on the farm where they confiscated 121 firearms as well as ammunition.

The suspect will make his first appearance in the Nelspruit Magistrates Court on Thursday.

The Provincial Police Commissioner in Mpumalanga Lieutenant General Mondli Zuma thanked the community for their valuable information which led to the discovery.
