An Angolan man was arrested at the OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg yesterday with cocaine bullets, worth around R250-thousand, in his stomach.
The Hawks says the 41-year-old was arrested on arrival from Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Spokesperson, Capt Paul Ramaloko says the suspect was en route to Kinshasa, in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
He says police discovered the man had swallowed the cocaine when he was taken through an X-ray machine.
Sixty-nine bullets of cocaine were seized.
The man will appear in the Kempton Park Magistrate's Court on Wednesday.
