Malema loses bid to have charges dropped

The Polokwane High Court has dismissed an application by EFF leader Julius Malema to have charges against him dropped.

Judge Ephraim Makgoba said the case against him will go ahead next year as scheduled, unless the National Prosecuting Authority decided to drop the charges against him.

The expelled former ANC Youth League leader faces charges of fraud, corruption, money-laundering, and racketeering.

It is alleged that he made nearly R4m from corrupt activities.
