Madiba showing great resilience in hospital

The Presidency says while former president Nelson Mandela's condition remains critical but stable, at times it becomes unstable.

Spokesman Mac Maharaj says in his latest statement that doctors
indicate that the former president has demonstrated great resilience and his condition tends to stabilise as a result of medical interventions.

He said doctors were working hard to effect a turnaround, improve Mandela's health and to keep him comfortable.

Sunday 25 August is Madiba's 79th day at the Medi-Clinic Heart hospital in Pretoria after he was admitted on the 8th of June for a recurring lung infection.
