Madiba's grandson denies reports of family tensions

Former president Nelson Mandela's grandson Mandla Mandela has denied that there is tension between him and his aunt, Makaziwe Mandela.

He reportedly stormed out of a family meeting in Qunu on Tuesday.

According to the reports, he allegedly moved the graves of three of Mandela's children from Qunu to Mvezo in 2011, apparently without consulting the family.

Meanwhile, UN leader Ban Ki-moon says the whole world is praying for Nelson Mandela as the legendary South African leader clings to life.

He is on life support in the Medi-Clinic Heart hospital in Pretoria.

Meanwhile, the Salvation Army showed its support for critically-ill former president Nelson Mandela at the Medi-Clinic Heart Hospital in Pretoria on Thursday morning.

Salvation Army leader William Langa said they had come to acknowledge the contribution the anti apartheid icon had made to South Africa.

"We know that everything is on Gods hands. This morning we are standing here before you all, and all of you are symbolically showing your respect. We know it's very difficult and that it is a challenging time." said Langa

Members of correctional services also sang hymns and songs outside the hospital.

Well-wishers of different nationalities continue to arrive at the Medi- Clinic Heart Hospital in Pretoria to place flowers and messages of hope at a 'wall of wishes', which is fast running out of space.

The presidency announced on Wednesday night that President Jacob Zuma had cancelled a scheduled trip to Mozambique scheduled for Thursday after visiting Madiba and finding him "still in a critical condition".
