The retail price of petrol and diesel will drop next week, the energy department said on Thursday.
A litre of 95 ULP (unleaded) petrol in Gauteng would cost R10.61 from Wednesday.
The price of 93 ULP (unleaded) petrol would decrease six cents a litre, while the price of 95 ULP petrol would drop five cents a litre.
Diesel prices were also set to decrease. The price of diesel with a 0.05 percent sulphur content would drop 21 cents a litre.
Diesel with a 0.005 percent sulphur content would cost 20 cents a litre less.
The wholesale price of illuminating paraffin would decrease by 25 cents a litre.
The single maximum national retail price for illuminating paraffin would decrease by 33 cents a litre. (Sapa)
