Four Lesotho Nationals are in police custody following their arrest for possession of suspected stolen property and money laundering.
Police spokesperson Colonel Adele Myburgh says Sesing Tsabane, 32, was the first suspect to be arrested last week in Orkney when chemicals used to wash dye-stained notes were found in his possession.
She says the investigation led them to another house where Letlala Elias Qabano (36), Joshua Molibeli (34) and Molefe Abel Fusi (26) were arrested.
Police found a substantial amount of dye-stained money in their house.
According to SAPS, they cannot rule out the possibility of the men being involved in ATM bombings.
The case was postponed in the Klerksdorp Magistrates Court to the 27th of May.
