KwaZulu-Natal police have released the identities of a gunman and his victim in a shooting at the Pavillion shopping centre.
Spokesperson, Captain Thulani Zwane says the gunman was identified as KwaMashu police station constable 27-year old Zaine Sheik, while 25-year old Sheree Branches was the victim.
On Thursday, police said a lovers' quarrel turned deadly when the policeman shot his girlfriend and then himself.
The two were arguing in the mall before Sheik took out his gun.
