ALS paramedics
Kwazulu Natal police are investigating two counts of attempted murder after a mother and her adult daughter were wounded in a drive-by shooting.
Police spokesperson, Colonel Robert Netshiunda, said the incident happened in Springfield on Friday.
He said the victims were rushed to a hospital for further treatment.
Netshiunda said a manhunt is underway for the assailants who fled the scene in a Nissan NP200 bakkie.
He said the mother, believed to be in her early fifties, and her 30-year-old business-partner daughter, were reportedly driving from their home to their business premises when they came under "heavy gunfire".
Meanwhile, ALS paramedical services, as well as other services, responded to the scene.
In a post on Facebook, it said two occupants of an SUV had sustained multiple gunshot wounds to their body.
Their paramedics worked to stabilise the two victims before rushing them to a hospital on manual ventilators for further treatment.
No further information was immediately available.
