Officers then proceeded to another suburb called Shellcross where they pounced on a suspected drug den.
Police entered a building in table Mountain Road where they confiscated heroin capsules, rock cocaine and Mandrax to the value of R20 000.
Police say the premises was empty so no arrests were made but the area will be closely monitored to find the suspects.
The last operation this week was conducted in the Inchanga police precinct which covers a village, halfway between Durban and Pietermaritzburg.
Two suspects aged 19 and 23 were found inside a building where they were busy packing heroin.
The street value of the drugs is approximately R65 000.
