A 12-year-old boy has died after plummeting 12 storeys from a block of flats in Morningside in Durban.
ER24 spokesperson, Russel Meiring, said paramedics arrived at the scene on Monday morning to find the child lying in the garden of the block of flats in Peter Mokaba Road.
He said medics assessed him and found that he sustained numerous injuries with his vital signs rapidly diminishing.
Meiring said CPR and other advanced life support interventions were immediately initiated in an effort to revive the young patient.
He was however declared dead soon afterwards.
Meiring said details surrounding the incident are unknown, but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
