Two Koi fish in a pond in Trenance Park in Kwa Zulu Natal have died after two suspects caught them.
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were called out to the property in the early hours of Friday morning.
On arrival, the homeowner informed the members that he noticed two men on his carport while monitoring his CCTV.
They said the suspects used a fishing line and caught two of his Koi fish.
The thieves left the fish on the carport after they realised they had raised suspicion and fled.
Both fish died prior to being returned to the pond.
