Fast food outlet KFC is appealing to the public to help in its investigation into an alleged fake food inspector soliciting free food from stores across South Africa.
Media reports about the Quality Assurance Inspector first surfaced in 2019 and were believed to be an urban legend until more stories came to light.
KFC has now decided to re-open their investigation and has hired a Private Investigator, Beckett Mathunzi, to establish the authenticity of the reports.
The outlet first responded to reports of an alleged fake inspector in 2019 when a story did the rounds on how a student managed to eat for free for an entire year.
It was later reported that the story was fake news.
