Detectives in the Western Cape are currently questioning four individuals as part of an extensive investigation into the disappearance of six-year-old Joslin Smith from Saldanha Bay.
Smith disappeared over two weeks ago leading to an extensive search involving community members, police, government officials and even the Navy.
A spokesperson for police Brigadier Novela Potelwa says the four persons being interviewed are two men and two women aged between 26 and 34.
She says the investigation is gaining momentum and arrests are on the cards.
Police Minister Bheki Cele visited Joslin's family over the weekend to assure them that police have intensified their search for the first grader.
SAPS has also brought in the services of the mounted unit and more specialised dogs from the K9 unit.
Detectives from Cape Town have also descended on the West Coast town.
Blood-stained items found during a search over the weekend have been sent to the Plattekloof forensic laboratory for analysis as part of the investigation.
