The suspects arrested in connection with the disappearance of Joslin Smith from Saldanha on the west coast made another brief appearance in the Vredenberg Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
During proceedings charges were withdrawn against accused number four, Phumza Sigaqa who made her first appearance still in her pyjamas.
The three other accused, Jacques Rowhan Appolis, 31, Steveno Dumaizio Duwayne Van Rhyn, 27, and Joslin's mother Chantel, 32, abandoned their bids for bail.
The three are currently facing charges of kidnapping and human trafficking.
Meanwhile, angry residents clashed with police outside the court, accusing them of being passive and uninterested during the search for Joslin.
Police were forced to use stun grenades and tear gas to disperse the crowd.
Magistrate Yolisa Sikhoyo has postponed the case to the 13th of May for further investigation.
Joslin is still missing and the search for her continues.
