Jordaan facing fresh allegations

Former Nelson Mandela Bay mayor, Danny Jordaan, is reportedly facing fresh sex allegations.

The Sunday Times reported that a prominent author, who is also the niece of a politician, laid charges against Jordaan this past week.

This is the second case to be opened against the SA Football Association boss, after former ANC MP and musician, Jennifer Ferguson also laid charges of rape against Jordaan for an incident that allegedly took place in a Port Elizabeth hotel more than 20 years ago.

According to the newspaper, the latest allegations against the SA Football Association boss, are contained in an affidavit to police in which she details three incidents of alleged sexual abuse.

Jordaan’s lawyer told the Sunday Times that the allegations against her client appear to be part of an attempt to render him ineligible for the SAFA presidency which he’s contesting against Orlando Pirates boss, Irvin Khoza.

Mamoduphi Mohlahla was quoted as saying that the “latest allegations follow a worrying and disturbing trend of accusations levelled against our client literally days before a significant SAFA event.”
