South-African singer and songwriter Jessie Clegg has lost his wife to Cancer.
Clegg who is the son of music legend Johnny Clegg, has been with his wife Dani Cooperman, for over a decade, although their wedding date is not known.
In March, the couple gave birth to their first child and revealed to Channel 24 that her name was Mylah Thandolwethu Clegg.
In a short message on Jessie's Instagram page, he spoke about his profound sadness at losing his wife Dani who was diagnosed with Cancer just last year.
“It is with profound sadness that I share the news of the passing of my beautiful Dani. She was diagnosed with cancer last year and fought with incredible courage and grace until the end. Her soul has moved on to its next great adventure and she is now at peace. She will be dearly missed by her family and the many lives that she touched. She was the love of my life and an incredible mother to our daughter, Mylah. Her beautiful spirit lives on in her. Go well my love, I’ll see you on the other side.” he said.
Jesse's father Johnny also died from Cancer in 2019.
