An alleged Sangoma placed a curse on a taxi driver shortly before he crashed into a tree, injuring twelve of its passengers. This is according to various patients found on the scene after the crash.
The crash that took place off the N3 highway near the Richmond Road off ramp in Pinetown also left the driver injured.
ER24 paramedics received the emergency call and immediately responded to the scene.
On arrival, paramedics found that a taxi had crashed into a palm tree.
Paramedics found that the thirteen patients, who were sitting around the vehicle, had sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate. Fortunately, no serious or fatal injuries were reported.
Paramedics treated the patients and thereafter transported them to various hospitals for further treatment.
Local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
