A 32-year-old man from KwaZulu Natal has registered a criminal case with police after he was allegedly assaulted by a well-known TikTok influencer.
Members from Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA), local police and security companies were dispatched to the home invasion in progress at a house in Trenance Park on Tuesday.
It is alleged that they had a verbal altercation on a live TikTok when the 'influencer' and a friend arrived at his house in Verulam.
According to the complainant, the two demanded he unlock his security gate and when he refused he was punched in the face through an opening of the gate.
It is further alleged that they bent the gate in an attempt to gain entry to the house.
The complainant's 59-year-old mother called out for help and alerted the neighbours who came to their aid.
The victim told police that he was constantly being bullied by certain influencers on TikTok.
The men fled the scene in their vehicle.
