Illegal miners killed in the Free State

Three illegal miners have been killed at Harmony's Masimong and Tshepong mines in the Free State.

Police captain Stephen Thakeng said the bodies had gunshot wounds.
Other illegal miners brought their bodies to the surface at the weekend.

Thakeng said a fight over who could mine where had broken out between Sotho and Shona illegal miners.

Two miners wounded in the fighting are under police guard in hospital.
