Former DA parliamentary leader Lindiwe Mazibuko says she will not contest the party leadership next month.
Her comment came a day after long-standing leader Helen Zille announced that she would not be contesting the leadership position at the party's federal congress in Nelson Mandela Bay on the 9th of May.
In a statement Mazibuko said she would not be making herself available for election to any leadership post at the Congress but will rather be watching and supporting her friends, colleagues and democrats from across the Atlantic.
Mazibuko has been studying at Harvard after she quit as parliamentary leader in May last year.
