Parts of a human skeleton have been found in a maize silo in Potchefstroom.
Police spokesperson, Captain Paul Ramaloko, says they have opened an inquest docket
The bones were found on the 19th of June, but news about the grisly discovery only emerged on Friday morning.
Ramaloko says the production manager opened the silo and noticed bones of a human skeleton in the maize.
It is believed to be a skeleton of an adult male, and the person's age is not known.
It is not clear when the person died, but it is believed that the remains had been lying in the silo at King Food for months.
