The Spar supermarket group has placed a full page advertisement in several newspapers, offering a R100,000 reward for information on the robbers who shot dead the manager of the Spar in Jukskei Park, Gauteng, earlier in June.
The crime was recorded on closed circuit television, as was another robbery at a Melville liquor store a week earlier.
Police say it appears that the robberies were perpetrated by the same gang.
In the advertisement, which carries stills from the CCTV images, Spar asks the public to help catch the criminals who shot dead the manager, Paul An-droliakos.
Police suspect that the gang could be behind at least eight more supermarket robberies in the Johannesburg area since May last year.
