Police in Camps Bay have arrested a suspect who allegedly burgled a vacant holiday house on the beachfront in Camps Bay this week.
Spokesperson Colonel Andre Traut says police received information about a homeless man who sold a flat-screen television set to an unknown buyer.
He says a further investigation led detectives to a holiday house where the burglary was discovered.
Colonel Traut says the homeowner was unaware of the burglary and once he was informed a case docket was registered.
Police arrested the suspect on Tuesday night where he was hiding on the slopes of Table Mountain.
He is expected to appear in the Cape Town Magistrates Court soon.
