Former grand slam tennis champion, Bob Hewitt will have to apply for leave to appeal his conviction and sentencing on the 19th of June.
The High Court in Pretoria ordered this morning that Hewitt be restricted to his home in Addo in the Eastern Cape until his next appearance.
Advocate Johann Engelbrecht, who was standing in for Terry Price, asked for more time to prepare and go through the case, before they could apply for leave to appeal.
Judge Bert Bam was frustrated, but granted the postponement.
One of Hewitt's victims, Sueellen Sheehan says she is not happy with the fact that Hewitt's bail has been extended once again..
"We go from one court date to the next in between that I cant function. It's horrible. He is victimising me and he will continue to do this and I think it is a disgrace that he is allowed to do this" she said.
Another victim, Twiggy Tolken said she would not come to court again.
"This is absolute nonsense I came all the way from Nieu Zealand. I wont be coming out again. I am losing confidence in the system yet again. This man should be in jail. he really should" she said.
The Judge ordered that Hewitt may not leave his house in Addo unless it is for medical reasons.
