The Hawks have declined to comment on a report that an investigation into corruption allegations against Julius Malema is nearing its end and that his arrest is imminent.
Hawks spokesperson McIntosh Polela was responding to a report on Tuesday that Malema could be arrested before the end of the week.
The report said the Hawks had completed an investigation into Malema's Ratanang Family Trust, taxes, and allegations of tender fraud against him.
The Hawks are also investigating a charge of inciting violence, recently brought by trade union Solidarity against Malema, for allegedly inciting violence during the strike at Lonmin's Marikana mine.
