The Griekwastad triple murder trial is expected to continue in the Kimberley High Court on Tuesday.
Last year, Northern Cape Judge President Frans Kgomo granted the minor accused's new lawyer, Riaan Bode, a request for a postponement.
Kgomo was due to deliver judgement on the 12th of December, but the 17-year old accused fired his legal team the previous day.
The boy stands accused of killing Deon Steenkamp, his wife Christel, and of raping and killing their 14 year-old daughter Marthella, on their farm Naauwhoek in April 2012.
