Grahamstown Police investigate case of child abandonment

Grahamstown police are investigating a case of child abandonment.
Captain Mali Govender says a couple was walking in extention 6 in Joza Township on Saturday afternoon when they found a 5-month old baby girl.
She was lying in the shade of a large rock and was wearing a dress, vest and leggings.
The child was in good health and was taken to a nearby hospital for care and safekeeing.
Anyone with information is asked to contact their nearest police station.
