Grace Mugabe returns home

Zimbabwean First Lady Grace Mugabe has returned home.

The Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation reported that she returned home with her husband, President Robert Mugabe, from South Africa in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Mugage left amid a storm in South Africa over her alleged assault of a woman in a Sandton Hotel.

She was facing a charge of assault but had applied for diplomatic immunity to the Department of International Relations and Cooperation.

This past week the SA Police Service said it had issued a "red alert" at borders to ensure that Mugabe didn't leave undetected.

Mugabe's alleged victim, 20-year-old Gabriella Engels, is now being represented by private prosecutor, Gerrie Nel, of the organisation Afriforum.

The organisation's Willie Spies, told News24 on Sunday that they would take "a long term approach on this."

"She may be back in Zimbabwe, but it may mean that she will find it very difficult to come back to South Africa in the future," Spies was quoted as saying.
