The South African government has once more called for the end to the violence in the Middle East.
This as more than 570 Palestinians, many women and children, have died in ongoing Israeli bombardments of the Gaza Strip.
Earlier, it was reported that Israeli aircraft have hit more than 70 targets in Gaza, while Israel says 27 soldiers were killed in ongoing clashes.
Speaking during debate on her budget vote in parliament on Tuesday, International Relations Minister Maite Nkoana-Mashabane, called for the guns to be silenced.
"The senseless killing of women and children must stop now, we will also be contributing $1 million for humans assistance through UN agencies in the nearest future" she said
