The Freedom Front Plus says the government must withdraw its proposed R900m loan to Zimbabwe to help fund its upcoming elections.
Spokesperson, Anton Alberts says in the light of South Africa's Constitution, the loan to Zimbabwe is unconstitutional.
He says against the backdrop of South Africa's own economic challenges and pressure on taxpayers, the loan should be withdrawn.
On Monday, Zimbabwe's Finance Minister, Tendai Biti said his treasury did not have the capacity to fund the elections, for which the country needed about R1.2b.
On Wednesday, it was reported that Zimbabwe had withdrawn a request it had made to the United Nations for money to fund its elections, after refusing to accept UN conditions, including media reforms and security issues.
Alberts said it appeared that the Zimbabwean government was not prepared to accept the conditions, which promoted democracy.
