The South African consulate in Dubai is providing assistance to the family of a South African paramedic killed in a helicopter crash in the United Arab Emirates.
The Government meanwhile has sent a message of condolence to the family of Mark Roxburgh.
He was one of four people killed in a helicopter crash in Ras al-Khaimah in the North-Eastern region of the UAE on Saturday while on a search and rescue mission.
It’s believed that the chopper hit a zip line.
According to one social media post, Roxburgh was an Advanced Life Support Paramedic working in the UAE alongside other South African paramedics.
