The humanitarian aid agency, Gift of the Givers, is preparing to travel to Gaza to assist with relief efforts this weekend.
It's been been granted permission by the Egyptian Government to enter the region through the Rafah border to help thousands of Palestinians affected by the latest conflict between Israel and Hamas.
A cargo aircraft will carry the 16 tons of supplies to the enclave.
The foundation's Imtiaaz Sooliman said that inside Palestine or in Gaza there is a big need for medical equiptment and supplies.
"The only disappointment is that we could only take 10 personnel. Personnel have been restricted all over the world, so we fortunate that we allowed 10 and more fortunate that we can take supplies, many others have not taking supplies and supplies are crucial inside Gaza."
Meanwhile, President Jacob Zuma has met representatives of civil society, trade unions, and the ANC Youth League to discuss support for Palestine.
The lobby group, Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions SA says the meeting on Palestine was convened in response to growing protests by South African civil society across the country.
The meeting was held at Zuma's official residence Genadendal in Cape Town on Wednesday.
The group called for boycotts, divestments and sanctions against Israel.
They also reiterated the call for the Israeli ambassador to be expelled.
