George Louca dies of stage 4 lung cancer

The Department of Correctional Services has confirmed that George Louca, the man accused of killing Teazers boss Lolly Jackson, has died.

Department spokesperson Manelisi Wolela says Louca died on Monday night.

The Cypriot had stage four lung cancer.

He was last seen in April in the High Court in Johannesburg where a request to send him back to Cyprus so he could die at home was denied.

At the time he sat in a wheelchair with an oxygen tank by his feet and a breathing mask over him.

Louca was extradited to South Africa last year to face several charges, including one relating to Jackson's murder.

He denied killing Jackson and blamed Czech fugitive Radovan Krejcir, who himself faces a murder charge, and a string of other charges.
