Gayton Mckenzie claims that an ANC top six member tried to poison President Jacob Zuma

Former prisoner turned businessman and author, Gayton Mckenzie, has alleged that a member of the ANC’s top six had tried to poison President Jacob Zuma.

Mckenzie was speaking on ANN7 on Tuesday night on sensational allegations contained in a book that he intends to release.

In the interview, Mckenzie alleged that a member of the ANC’s top six had offered President Zuma a piece of poisoned liver at a meeting at Luthuli House.  He did not name the person.

He said that President Zuma, who had apparently been forewarned, declined to eat the meat and when it was later tested it was found to contain poison.

He claimed that this was one of several attempts to poison President Jacob Zuma.

Mckenzie also levelled damning allegations against Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa, a forerunner in the ANC’s race for President against former African Union Commission chairperson, claiming that he is a “boy” of white monopoly capitalists.

He said Ramaphosa had used money from well-known wealthy mining families like the Oppenheimer's and Rupert’s, to start the National Union of Mineworkers.

Mckenzie referred to Ramaphosa as the “fingerman” for white monopoly capital, saying that if he won the ANC’s presidency at the upcoming ANC elective conference, “white people” will rejoice.

He also claimed that he is in possession of confidential state files that contain details of alleged spies.  Mckenzie alleged that he was asked not to reveal the names of “spies” he said had infiltrated the ANC.

The ANN7 channel, formerly owned by the Gupta family, but now privately owned by Mzwaneli Manyi, issued a disclaimer saying that it did not share the views of Mckenzie.
