Fifteen men who allegedly attempted to rob the Emperors Palace casino are expected to appear in the Kempton Park Magistrate's Court on Tuesday.
The men were arrested by police who were acting on a tip-off.
Police confronted a group at the entrance and a shootout ensued.
Two of the men were shot and wounded, while three others were arrested.
He said police searched for the nine men around the hotel and
casino, and arrested four more.
Three AK-47 assault rifles, four pistols and one revolver were recovered at the scene.
A stray bullet grazed the head of five-year-old girl inside the casino's hotel and she was rushed to hospital where she is still receiving treatment.
