Buffalo City Metro ratepayers and business have taken their official dispute with the Metro to local government MEC Mlibo Qoboshiyane.
Buffalo City Ratepayers Forum, Sanco and the Border Kei Chamber of Business handed over a document on Monday which deals with areas of concern ranging from the Integrated Development Plan to public engagement and service delivery.
Border Kei Chamber of Business CEO Les Holbrook says they've always had open communication with the Metro but feel important matters aren't being responded to.
He said their issue is with the fact that they are not finding satisfaction in the key matters that are holding back development in the Metro.
Holbrook said they feel, for example, that when they talk about littering and waste in the city and the fact that East London is dirty, that they're not getting a response to those issues from the Metro..
He told AlgoaFM news they want to take up the effectiveness of their engagement with Qoboshiyane.
Repeated efforts to get comment from the Buffalo City Metro on Monday's developments proved fruitless.
