Netcare 911 received a call from the Umdoni Pre Primary school in Amanzimtoti for a snake that was in their playground on Monday morning. When they arrived, they found a Red lipped herald that was swallowing a very large frog, only the rear end was still sticking out from the snake's mouth.
Spokesperson Chris Botha says with children and their teachers standing at a safe distance and the teachers explaining to them what was happening, he caught the snake and placed it into a container, this caused it to spit out the frog. The snake was later released back into the wild far from any schools- surprisingly the frog also survived and jumped away being given a second chance in life.
