Free State Farmer kills attacker

A Free State farmer is in hospital after being shot in an attack on his farm near Reitz.

Police spokesperson, Sergeant Mmako Mophiring, says three men accosted Andre' Greenen, on his farm on Saturday afternoon.

He was shot in the stomach and in one arm.

Mophiring said Greenen managed to shoot one of his attackers, who died on the scene.

The other two fled on foot.

A case of murder and attempted murder is being investigated.
