A fourth man has been arrested in connection with the murder of Mozambican national Emmanuel Sithole in Alexandra, north of Johannesburg.
He was arrested in Alexandra on Monday night and will appear in court on Tuesday along with the three others arrested on Sunday night.
Thirty five year old Sithole was murdered over the weekend in a street in Alexandra.
Pictures printed in the Sunday Times showed three men attacking Sithole - one of them can clearly be seen aiming a knife at Sithole’s upper body.
The pictures caused an uproar on social media and many called for the police to hunt down the attackers.
The attacks on foreign nationals and looting of shops started two weeks ago in Isipingo, outside of Durban and spread to other areas of the country.
The attacks have left at least 7 people dead and displaced hundreds of foreign nationals.
