Four teenagers have been arrested following the gruesome discovery of the severed body of a teenager in Umlazi, south of Durban.
Members of the community came across the severed head of the 15-year-old boy near a school in F Section on Tuesday morning.
Police spokesperson, Captain Nqobile Gwala says officers were then called to the scene - and found the rest of the child's body.
Preliminary investigations at the scene revealed that the victim was taken from his home shortly after midnight. His body was found not far from his head which had a gunshot wound.
Gwala says they suspects aged between 18 and 19 were arrested in Umlazi and will appear in court soon.
Police also confiscated two unlicenced firearms.
