Four people were killed in a head-on collision between a truck and a car on the Kwa-Zulu Natal south coast on Saturday night.
Netcare 911's Chris Botha says the accident happened on the R603 in the Lovu Township near Winkelspruit.
He says after impact, the truck veered off the road - pushing the car for about 100 metres through a settlement, destroying everything in its path.
Botha says the car, a Toyota sedan, was found wedged under the truck with four occupants still trapped in the vehicle.
He says all four were declared dead at the scene.
The cause of the accident is not known, and police are investigating.
