The Former Chairperson for South African Airways Dudu Myeni has died.
This was confirmed by the Jacob Zuma Foundation of which Myeni was the chairperson.
Last month Myeni could not attend court proceedings for her corruption trial due to her undergoing chemotherapy.
She was facing corruption and fraud charges linked to Bosasa amounting to R300 000
In 2020 she was declared a delinquent director for life and two years later she was fined R120 000 for contempt of court following her testimony at the Zondo Commission of Inquiry into State Capture
The state has accused Myeni of failing to disclose her interests in terms of the South African Airways (SAA) Conflict of Interest Policy, during her tenure as the chairperson of the SAA board.
She stands accused of corruption for receiving gratification from Bosasa subsidiary Sondolo IT, allegedly offered by the former director, Trevor Mathenjwa.
Myeni allegedly received security upgrades for her Richards Bay premises between May 2014 and March 2015, to the value of R200,000.
