Five men have been arrested for allegedly killing five rhino in the Hluhluwe area of KwaZulu-Natal.
Police Captain, Thulani Zwane says the men, aged between 20 and 64, were arrested over the weekend, after police received a tip-off.
Two rifles and 93 rounds of ammunition were recovered by police.
Zwane says the men face charges of rhino poaching and possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition.
They're expected to appear in court on Monday.
